Lorraine S. Storheim, 86, formerly of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday morning, March 9, 2014 at Cedar Grove Gardens where she had been residing. Born May 9, 1927 in Sheboygan, Lorraine was a daughter of the late Nora (Carl Range) Wigand. She attended Sheboygan County Schools and graduated from Waldo High School in 1946. On April 19, 1947, she was united in marriage to Edward Resnick. She then married Norleif O. Storheim on September 14, 1973 in Constantine, MI. They were married for 23 years before Norleif preceded her in death on November 25, 1996. Lorraine worked in the roller skate division of Globe Union, now Johnson Controls, for many years. She was a member of the Sheboygan Elk's Lodge B.P.O.E. #299 and an active member and volunteer at the Sheboygan Senior Center. She is survived by her two children, Claudia (Jack) Butcher, Mulberry, FL, and Keith (Kristine) Resnick, Oostburg; grandchildren, Steven (Deborah) Scherer, Milwaukee, Michael (Zoey) Scherer, Hartford, Matthew Resnick, Vacaville, CA, Tanya (Mike) Chick, Evanston, IL, Khara Schelach, Green Bay, and Brandon Butcher, Watertown, WI; great grandchildren, Amalia Scherer, Nicholas Resnick, Michael Scherer, Mathias Resnick and Xavier, Natalya and Isaiah Chick; her three sisters, Phyllis Gesser, Waukesha, Doris Wigand, Sheboygan Falls, and Barbara (George) Thiel, Plymouth; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, John Gesser and Harry Stroebel. A Celebration Gathering for Lorraine will take place in Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Inurnment will take place at Wildwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Cedar Grove Gardens and Heartland Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
