Lois E. Karstaedt, 94, of Town of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully at Countryside Manor Nursing Home on Saturday morning, July 12, 2025.
Lois was born in Sheboygan on January 16, 1931, to Ervin and Maud (Bruinooge) Timm. Lois attended Bethlehem Lutheran School and graduated from Central High School in 1948.
On September 10, 1949, she was united in marriage to Vernon Karstaedt of rural Kiel at Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners, rural Kiel. The couple lived on the Karstaedt Family Farm that operated until 1965, then moved to Sheboygan. They were members of The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.
Lois is survived by a son, Rick (Linda) Karstaedt of Town of Sheboygan; and a daughter, Lynn (Don) Mathewson of Cascade; five grandchildren, Michael Karstaedt of Sheboygan, Tammy Karstaedt of Sheboygan, Dawn Woppler of Cascade, Becky Silva of Port Washington, and Kristy Mulder of Elkhart Lake; three great grandchildren, Nick Koeppe, Lily Wright and Mitchell Karstaedt.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Karstaedt; parents, Ervin and Maud Timm; father and mother-in-law, Oscar and Emily Karstaedt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wesley and Rita Timm, and Kenneth and Wilma Timm; sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Edward Potter; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Robert Chuvan; and brothers-in-law, Melvin and Kenneth Karstaedt.
No services will be held. Burial will take place in Ucker Cemetery, Town of Schleswig rural Kiel, Manitowoc County.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Lois' arrangements.
