Linda M. Barker, 71, of Sheboygan, formerly of Rhinelander, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 17, 2018 at Sheboygan Health Services where she had been residing.
Born July 10, 1947 in Sheboygan, Linda was a daughter of the late Leo and Lucille Hanig Pennings. She attended Sheboygan area schools and received her GED in Rhinelander.
Linda worked for the Tri County Council on Domestic Violence as an AODA counselor. She loved fishing, hunting, camping, pencil painting and puzzles. She also enjoyed playing cards and video games.
She is survived by her daughter, Samantha (Dean) Albright, Rhinelander; her three grandchildren, Brianne (Terry Files) Barker, Appleton; Brent Albright, Rhinelander, and Abbigail Albright, Rhinelander; her brothers and sisters, Paul (Carol) Pennings, Jim Pennings, Nikki Pennings, Steven (Rosemary) Pennings, Diane (Dale) Borgen, Laurie Meyer, Donna (Don) Reindl, Jeff Pennings, and Cindy (Dave) Faucher; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Riki Barker, her sister, Pat (Bill) Steward, and her brother-in-law, Dale Meyer.
Private family services were held.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Cedar Grove Gardens, Sheboygan Health Services and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
