Lillian Doris Losey, 90, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday afternoon, November 25, 2016, at Golden Living Where she had been residing.
Born June 12, 1926 in Sheboygan, Doris was a daughter of the late Solomon and Anna Bolger Goebel. She attended area schools and graduated from Kiel High School. On June 8, 1946, she was united in marriage to Leon B. "Pete" Losey at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. They were married for 60 years before Pete preceded her in death on February 21, 2007.
Doris was a secretary for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation for the State of Wisconsin for 14 years. She previously worked for the Sheboygan Public Schools and the K.W. Muth Co. She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, the Altar Guild and the XYZ Club. She enjoyed quilting, stitching and walking. She volunteered for Meal on Wheels, Bethesda Thrift Store, St. Paul Lutheran Church and Morningside Nursing Home.
She is survived by her two children, Donald (Patty) Losey, Beecher, WI and Rose Anne (Phil) Buteyn, Sheboygan Falls: four grandchildren, Liza Donath, Sheboygan Falls, Tami (Chad) Kather, Sheboygan, Brian Buteyn, West Fargo, ND, Rebecca (Joel) Fetterer, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; seven great grandchildren, Cameron and Tanner Donath, Kaylee O'Conner, Marek Kather, Dominick, Ava, and Lily Fetterer; four sisters-in-law, Lucy Duga, DeEtta Dettlaff, Evelyn Losey, and Phyllis Losey; nieces, nephews, and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Pete, she was preceded in death by twin grandsons, her five sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services for Lillian will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 13th & Lincoln Avenue. The Rev. James Hartman will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for St. Paul Ev Lutheran Church.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Lillian's arrangements.
