Lester Rommelfaenger

Lester A. Rommelfaenger, age 78 of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Sheboygan Progressive Health Services.

Born December 25, 1939 in Sheboygan to Arthur and Dorothy (Grube) Rommelfaenger, he graduated from local schools and served in the United States Army. He worked for many years at Nemschoff Furniture as a wood worker. Les was a member of Rods-N-Relics (vintage car club) and attended car shows. He had a love for wood crafting projects, and he loved to travel and enjoyed camping.

Les is survived by his brother, Eugene (Sharon) Rommelfaenger of Neosho; 3 sisters, Joan (DuWayne) Hoitink of Cedar Grove, WI, Linda (Virgil) Eickhoff of Sheboygan, WI and Arlene (Dale) Kelling of Brookeland, TX; he is further survived by aunts, cousins, nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Christopher Sonneman; his maternal grandparents, Grover & Frieda Grube and his paternal grandparents, Peter & Margaret Rommelfaenger.

Funeral services for Les will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Ave. Sheboygan. The Rev. Gregory Whelton will officiate. Visitation will take place from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Lester's family would like to extend a special thanks to attorney Douglas Leppanen and the nurses and staff of Progressive Rehab and Aurora at Home Hospice.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.

The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Lester's arrangements.
