Leroy Vanderplasse

August 31, 1934 — August 28, 2012

LeRoy Vanderplasse, 77, of 4908 N. 40th St., died Tuesday Morning at his home. Born August 31, 1934, in Sheboygan, LeRoy was a son of the late John and Nellie Fink Vanderplasse. In 1961, LeRoy married Shirley Gross. Mr. Vanderplasse served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 until 1958. LeRoy owned and operated LeRoy's Lawn Service for 3 years before retiring. He was previously employed by Wally Stienpries. He enjoyed collecting Coke memorabilia and watching Plymouth Dirt Track Racing He is survived by his wife Shirley, his son Leslie (special friend, Janet) Vanderplasse, Oconomowoc, WI; two granddaughters Tina Vanderplasse, Plymouth, WI, Nicole Schaub, Fond du Lac, WI; two great grandsons, Amaria and Keyon Henderson, Fond du Lac, WI; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Nellie and his sister Elaine Bergaman. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon. Friday, August 31, 2012, at the Lippert-Olson Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. Relatives and friends are welcome on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will be in Gardens of Peace Mausoleum. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Aurora VNA Hospice for the loving care they gave LeRoy.
