LaVerne V. Wieck, 89, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 8, 2015 at Prairie Crossing, A Pine Haven Community, where she had been residing.
Born June 20, 1926 in the Town of Sheboygan, LaVerne was a daughter of the Erwin & Viola Kruschinski Koppelmann. She attended Erdman School. On May 10, 1947, she was united in marriage to Wilfred H. She was a member of the Farm Bureau where she volunteered at the Sheboygan County Fair and assisted at the voting polls. She was known for her famous Ma Wieck bean dish and German potato salad recipes, her breads and cinnamon buns and her affinity for raspberries. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is now back together with her special cousins Dorothy, Bernita and Leona, spending time together doing the things they enjoyed.
She is survived by her four children, Shirley (Bill) Schultz, Sheboygan, Roger (Chris) Wieck, Sheboygan, DuWayne (Linda) Wieck, Plymouth, and Beverly (Tom) DePagter, Plymouth; her 8 grandchildren, Scott Schultz, Steven Schultz, Nicole (Billy) Claerbout, Nathan DePagter, Tanya (John) Weigel, Stacey Richter, Kelly (George) Seitz, and Kevin (Julie) Wieck; her 11 great grandchildren, Cody & Logan Weigel, Cassandra & Kaylee Richter, Ahnika & Lauren Seitz, Isabel, Levi & Vincent Wieck, and Lola & Nora Claerbout; her sister-in-law, LaVerne Koppelmann; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Milford Koppelmann and her special friend, Waylon Miller.
