Lance Gerald Wadel, Sr., passed away peacefully Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice surrounded by his family.
He was born on January 11, 1947 in Seymour, WI to the late William E. and Josephine M. DeCleene Wadel. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1966. He was drafted in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 in Fort Worth, TX, and later became a drill instructor.
On May 23, 1970, he married the love of his life, Linda J. Fluegel. She was the girl next door. Lance worked for Bordens Foods for 42 years before his retirement in 2009. Lance's pride and joy were his grandchildren who all called him their Papa! Lance had a passion for football rooting for his team, the Packers.
Lance is survived by his wife, Linda, of 51 years; his three children, Lance (significant other Sara Kornetzke) Wadel, Jr., Two Rivers, Bradley, Sheboygan, and Stacy (Justin) Curtiss, Howards Grove; three grandchildren, Jayda Jean, Blake Edward and Lainee Faith. He is further survived by a brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, other nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vicky and his brother, Larry.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be private family services.

Lance was a wonderful and caring husband, father and Papa. He always said if you can't see me when I'm here, you don't need to see me now.
