Kurt Weinknecht

Kurt F. Weinknecht, 84, of Seamann Avenue, passed away Wednesday evening, November 14, 2012 at Libby's House in Plymouth where he had been residing since March. He was born July 20, 1928 in Haynau Schlesian, Germany where he attended schools. On September 2, 1950 he was united in marriage to Alfrieda Both in Germany prior to moving to the United States in 1951. They were married for 24 years before Alfrieda preceded him in death on November 16, 1974. Kurt worked for Plastics Engineering from 1951 until his retirement in 1992. From 1953 to 1955, he served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid sports fan following the Packers and the Brewers. He enjoyed working around the house and in his yard. Besides his family, his greatest joy was deer hunting, especially with his friend Harry. He is survived by his sons, Al (Kelly) Weinknecht, Mike (Sue) Weinknecht, and Randy Weinknecht; two grandchildren, David Weinknecht and Kristine (Brad) Bouchonville; and a great granddaughter, Hailey. A graveside service for Kurt will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends are welcome at the graveside at the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in his name for the Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to send special thanks to Libby's House, especially Bonnie, and the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for all of your care and compassion.
