Kimberly (Schuldt) Blindauer, 65, of Sheboygan, passed away Monday morning, September 22, 2025, at Froedtert Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Kimberly was born April 29, 1960, in Frankfort, KY to Irma Saari. At about one year in age, she and her mother moved to Paxton, Illinois where her mother married, and Kim was instantly blessed with 2 brothers and a sister.
She attended local schools. Because of her stepfather’s job, the family moved to various cities in Illinois as well as other states including Florida, Tennessee and North Carolina, and finally returning to their home state of Illinois. Kim graduated in 1978 from Rantoul Township High School in Illinois.
That same year she moved to Sheboygan and started what she thought was just a short-term job but turned into a career that lasted 42 years at Sheboygan Paint Company/Vortex Liquid Color. She was very proud of her time and accomplishments there. She retired in 2021.
Kim enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She and her sister Heidi went on lots on fun trips and spent times visiting each other. Spa days, wineries or just hanging out and laughing until they cried. Sister sister time. They had a very special bond. She also enjoyed water aerobics, watching the Green Bay Packers. She loved going for car rides in the country and sitting by Lake Michigan and watching the water. She was a long time Red Cross blood donor but had to stop due to her illness.
She is survived by her loving husband, Steve, the love of her life. They shared a love that was beyond words. She is further survived by her son Joshua Kaufman, Oshkosh; her sister Heidi (Nathan) Samson, FL; her brother David (Janet) Schuldt; IL; nieces and nephews, her husband's family as well as friends, most notable Susie, Lisa and Mary.
She was preceded in death by her mother, her brother Dwaine and sister Debbie. She also leaves behind her cat, Slim. He was her boy and best buddy.
Kim loved to laugh. She always said laughter is good for the soul. As well as a good cry. So, laugh as much as you can and cry when you have to. Be kind to one another and to yourself. This thing called life can be hard so help someone when you can. A kind word or gesture speaks volumes. If nothing else, share a smile with a stranger. You might just make their day.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in the Chapel of Eternal Light of Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Kim would like to thank her four angels for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to a charity of your choice. Her other request would be to make a lifesaving blood donation to the Red Cross. It's the most rewarding way to spend an hour of your day. Or donate to an animal welfare group.
