Kayla M. Hallwachs, 22, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday morning, November 2, 2016 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee surrounded by her family and friends following a courageous battle with cardiomyopathy.
Born January 19, 1994 in Sheboygan, Kayla was a daughter of Steven Hallwachs and Michelle Bouchard Hallwachs. She attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from North High School in 2013.
Kayla was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her son and nephew, especially on Friday nights for movies. Her son was the most important part of her life as well as her nephew, Isaiah.
She is survived by her son, Julian; her parents, Steven Hallwachs and Michelle Hallwachs, both of Sheboygan; her brothers, Justin and Brandon, and her twin sister, Alissa, all of Sheboygan; aunts and uncles, Liane (Geoff) Day, Robert Bouchard, Ken (Cheryl) Hallwachs and Donna Gustafson, all of Sheboygan. She is further survived by her grandma, Karen Bouchard and her nephew, Isaiah, both of Sheboygan; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded by her maternal grandfather, James Bouchard and her paternal grandparents, Leslie and Betty Hallwachs.
Funeral services for Kayla will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Matthew Widder will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Calvary Cemetery. Please meet at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service at 9:30 a.m. for the procession.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
