Rose K. Gillgren, 89, of 2437 N. 22nd Street, passed away Thursday morning, August 9, 2012 at her home. Born March 14, 1923 in New Holstein, Rose was a daughter of the late Joseph and Appolonia Zimmerman Blindauer. She attended New Holstein area schools and graduated from high school. On November 23, 1946, she was united in marriage to Arthur John Gillgren at St. Dominic Catholic Church. They were married for 62 years before Arthur preceded her in death on March 9, 2009. Rose was a sprayer in the furniture factory for Richardson Bros. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church where she was an usher and home communion minister. Rose was a member of the Jolly Time Dance Club, the Four Seasons Club, and the once a month bingo group. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening. She is survived by her children, Ramona (Gerald) Schad, Howards Grove and John Gillgren, Sheboygan; seven grandchildren, Lisa (James) Udulutch, Manitowoc, Nick Schad, Howards Grove, Matthew Schad, Howards Grove, Kathy Gillgren, Sheboygan, Shane Gillgren, Sheboygan, Jenny Schad and James (special friend Jacklyn Pittner) Schad, Sheboygan; five great grandchildren, Gregory Udulutch, Appleton, Elizabeth Udulutch, Manitowoc, Branden Udulutch, Manitowoc, Dekota Farmer, Plymouth and Shaun Farmer, Jr., Plymouth; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Joy Udulutch and a baby brother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 21st & Geele Avenue. The Rev. Philip D. Reifenberg will celebrate the Mass. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
