Kathryn E. Goking

Kathryn E. Goking, 99, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at St. Nicholas Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born April 2, 1922 in Plymouth, Kathryn was the daughter of the late Norman and Anida Horneck Schierstedt. She attended Plymouth area schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1940. She continued her education at the Sheboygan Business College. On November 29, 1949, she was united in marriage to Theodore E. "Ted" Goking at Fountain Park United Methodist Church. They were married for 46 years before Ted preceded her in death on March 11,1996.
Kathryn was a homemaker who volunteered with the Red Cross for many years. She was a member of Fountain Park UMC where she served as the treasurer for decades and was a member of the UMW. She was also a member of the Sheboygan County Homemakers Club and the Republican Women's Party and worked at the polls. She was also an avid card player.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lee (Jeffrey) Campbell, Sturgeon Bay; her granddaughter, Anida C. (Tyler) Ho, Windsor; her grandson, Theodore Campbell, Sheboygan; her great grandchildren, Graham and Siena Kathryn Ho, Windsor; other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Ted, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lee Schierstedt.
Funeral services for Kathryn will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Fountain Park United Methodist Church, 828 Erie Avenue, Sheboygan. The Rev. Warren Waddell will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue, on Wednesday, June 23, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and again at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for Fountain Park UMC.
The family would like to thank the Town of Sheboygan Fire Department, Orange Cross and the doctors, nurses and staff of the ICU at St. Nicholas Hospital for all of their loving care and support.
