Kathleen M. Wieland

Kathleen M. Wieland, 78, of Sheboygan, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 26, 2023 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice surrounded by her family.
Born May 3, 1944 in Sheboygan, Kathleen was a daughter of the late Edmund and Ruth Breger Schelwat. She attended Sheboygan area schools and North High School. On September 14, 1963, she was united in marriage to Edward N. Wieland at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
Kathy was a homemaker who enjoyed camping trips, especially bonfires. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family and attending their sporting events. She also loved to go shopping, out to eat and getting pampered at the salon. She was especially fond of a Whiskey Old Fashioned Press with a slice of lemon and a cherry. She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edward; her children, Tammy (Dave Jurk) McClellan, Wendy (Dean) Klein, and Scott (Amy) Wieland; her grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Smith, Heather McClellan, Erica (R.J.) Lewis, Nicholas Klein, Isaac Wieland, Jonah Wieland and Hilary Mayer; six great grandchildren; her sisters, Carol (Paul) Warg, and Jeanette Koss; her brothers, Wayne (JoAnn) Schelwat and Mark Schelwat; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Private family services will be held. Inurnment will take place in Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice or the Sheboygan County Cancer Fund.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nicholas Gustafson and staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center and the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, especially Michelle and Kim.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Kathy's arrangements.
