Katheleen M. "Kat" Schaal, 48, of Union Avenue, passed away Monday afternoon, May 27, 2013 at her home. Born January 19, 1965 in Sheboygan, Kathleen was a daughter of Garry and Patsy Schaal. She attended local schools in Sheboygan and Manitowoc. Kat worked at local convenience stores in the area for many years. Her greatest joy was the time spent with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her parents, Garry and Patsy, Sheboygan; her three children, Kelli Jo Schaal, Brandon Sturm and Michael Jon Schaal, all of Sheboygan; her sister, Billie Jo Kumbalek, Sheboygan; two brothers, Michael (Julie) Schaal, Cleveland, and Randall (Kelly Winter) Schaal, Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Austin, Levi, Caden and Aiden; her special niece, Rachel Kuecker; special nephew, Garry Hauschultz; and her special friend, Neale Griffith; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services for Kat will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Lippert-Olson Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Avenue. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The Lippert-Olson Funeral Home has been entrusted with Kat's arrangements.
