Julianna Wangemann-Klima of Sheboygan passed away on January 16, 2019 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
Julianna was born in Sheboygan on April 26, 1928, daughter to Henry and Julia(Krueger) Graff. She attended St. Peter Claver School and Central High School. She was the owner of The End of the Leash dog grooming business for over 30 years, as well as working at Geno’s Top of the First. She was a life long animal advocate, and a member of the Sheboygan Yacht Club.
As a teenager and young woman Julianna was an active member of Sheboygan Turners. She and her best friend Marie Thieme traveled and performed with Los Aeros, an aerial act, traveling throughout the south and Midwest. She always said that this was “the best time of my life”. She had many cherished memories of a special Hawaiian vacation and of spending time with her daughters and their families in Illinois, Ohio, Colorado and California. In recent years she enjoyed participating in activities at The Gathering Place in Sheboygan Falls.
Julianna is survived by her loving husband of 31 years Charles Klima, her daughters from her first marriage Alexandra(Stewart)Sonnenberg of Folsom, CA.; Sherry(Louis)Bettencourt of Plymouth, CA.; step-daughters Marie(Mark)Rieger of Sheboygan; Renee(William)Ettinger of Green Bay; grandchildren Adam Sonnenberg, McLean Sonnenberg, Charles Rieger, and Sonia Ettinger; her brother Robert Graff of Sheboygan and sister Margie Scharer of Mt. Morris, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Marion Radey.
A memorial service for Julianna will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 22, 2018 at the Chapel of Eternal Light, 6706 Superior Ave., Kohler. Inurnment will follow.
Julianna’s family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their kindness and care.
In lieu of flowers donations in Julianna’s name can be made to the Sheboygan County Humane Society.
