Julia G. Moldenhauer

February 26, 1919 — December 8, 2014

Julia G. Moldenhauer, 95, formerly of 1703 N. 9th Street, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014, at Beach Health Care Facility where she had been residing. Julia was born on February 26, 1919 to John and Magdaline Bukeveskas Brussok. She attended Sheboygan Public Schools and graduated from Central High School. On July 14, 1945 she was united in marriage to Roman Moldenhauer, who was a WWII veteran, at Immaculate Conception Church. They later became members of Holy Name Church. Roman and Julia enjoyed 60 years of marriage before his death on August 25, 2005. After graduation she took on a non- traditional role and worked in the drafting department at Kohler Company. She then became interested in textiles and was a production inspector at Wigwam hosiery. After that employment, Julia started her home- based seamstress work, which she truly enjoyed. Handcrafts such as knitting, silver smithing and jewelry making, along with original stained glass creations, were not only her hobbies, but they were also her passion. Julia rounded out her personality by becoming an avid reader. She also enjoyed daily exercise and was a competitive singles and doubles tennis player well into her early 80's, and played at a state tournament level in her 70's. Julia is survived by her children: Mark (Chris) Moldenhauer of Chapel Hill, NC; Marcia Thiel of Sheboygan; Marlene (Henry) Keyser of Colgate, WI; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nephews: Jim (Judy) Guenther of Sheboygan and Joseph Guenther of Manitowish Waters; nieces: Jean (Tony) Clark of Chicago and Anne Brussok of San Francisco, CA. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Amelia (Joseph) Guenther, Madelyn (Conrad) Holzman along with her brother: John Brussok, Thomas Thiel, her son-in-law, and Laurie Moldenhauer, a granddaughter. The extended family of health care providers at Beach Health Care Facility made life a pleasure for Julia in her later years. Private family services with interment in Calvary Cemetery will take place. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Julia's arrangements.
