Judy "Putter" Bartelt, 71, of Sheboygan entered her heavenly home on September 26, 2015. She was born July 19, 1944, to Hazel and Clarence Lemkuil and grew up in Oostburg, Wisconsin. She attended Oostburg High School and studied at UW-Whitewater for a year. On April 16, 1966, she married her life partner, Chuck Bartelt. Judy was employed at Kohler Company and the Sheboygan School District until her retirement. Judy loved her friends and family, gardening, pets and even liked to gamble every once and a while. She always tried to have a good sense of humor. She attended Bethany Reformed Church and was strong in her faith. Sometimes roadblocks got in the way, but she overcame them. Judy was very blessed with two children - Kristin (Sean) Foley of Seattle and Tim (Stacy) Bartelt of Sheboygan. She loved her kids! She also loved her grandchildren - Emily Foley, Max Foley and Elizabeth Bartelt. She is survived by her children and husband Chuck Bartelt. Chuck treated her like a queen, and she was truly blessed. She is also survived by sister Pat (Pete) Zurmond, sister LaMae Lemkuil and brother Richard "Chip" Lemkuil. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Nory Lemkuil. A casual service will be take place at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. The event will be very casual (after all, she was no fashion diva!) In lieu of flowers, donations have been requested for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support. Thanks to all who made her life special. She asked that we remember her as she was in life. She is happy in her heavenly home. No tears please, only happy memories. Thank God for blessings received - our Creator loves us! - Putter
