Judith A. Fischer

Judith A. Fischer, 81, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, at Shores of Sheboygan.  She was born January 8, 1944, in Sheboygan to the late Harvey DeMunck and Bernetta Grunow.  Judith attended Sheboygan Area Schools and on April 22, 1961, she was united in marriage to Ralph Champeau Sr.  Together they celebrated 28 years and raised their son Ralph ‘Dinky” Champeau Jr.  Ralph Sr. preceded her in death in 1989.  In 1991 Judith repeated her vows with her now estranged husband Gerald W. Fischer.

Judith was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club.  After being employed in hospitality from1981 to 1998, she took on the position of Executive Housekeeper of the American Club until her retirement in 2009.

Judith was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.  She loved her flower gardens, crafting, and making her own Christmas and Birthday cards for her family and friends. Taking trips to the casinos, spending winters in Florida and dancing to her favorite tunes were a few of her favorite pastimes.  Judith loved her family and cherished all the lasting memories they had created together.

Judith is survived by her estranged husband Gerald W. Fischer, step-daughter Stace (Teri) Martin, grandson Joseph Champeau, step-grandchildren, Sawyer Martin, Grayson Martin and Isabella (Cody) Harris, great-grandson Nolan Champeau, step-great-grandchildren, Emmett and Tilton Harris, sister Nancy (Theresa Folstrom) Shircel, niece Jessica Ellinger, nephews, Cory Shircel, Curt Shircel and Eric Josse, sister-in-law Helen Mihelnik and her favorite aunt Mary Ann Lampe.  Judith is further survived by many cousins’ other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Bernetta Mihelnik, husband Ralph Champeau Sr., son Ralph “Dinky” Champeau Jr., and brother Robert Mihelnik.

A Celebration of Judith’s Life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the care givers at Shores of Sheboygan and Ally Hospice Services for their love and support, and to Debra “Auntie Deb” Cook and niece Jessica Ellinger for the love they shared with Judith.

The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Judith’s care.
