Joyce H. Herrmann-Ross

Joyce H. Herrmann-Ross, 73, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Oak Park Place in Menasha. She was born June 3, 1953, in Sheboygan to the late Jerome R. and Dorothy A. (Schmidt) Herrmann. Joyce graduated from Sheboygan South High School with the Class of 1971 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from UW Milwaukee.

On February 14, 1981, she was united in marriage to John F. Ross at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. They celebrated 42 years together. John preceded her in death on February 23, 2023.

Joyce was a nurse at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan for 39 years before retiring in 2014. Joyce had a strong faith and was a member of First United Lutheran Church. She was a talented quilter and a member of the Sheboygan County Quilters Guild, the Loose Threads, the Sheboygan County Button Society. She loved to sail and was a member of the Sheboygan Yacht Club. Joyce also had a passion for traveling.

Joyce is survived by her son Kory (Audra) Hansen of Appleton, grandchildren; David (Ally) Wood of Menasha, William (Zander Fitts) Hansen of Fremont, and MadaLynn (Matthew Hathorn) Hansen of Beloit, great-grandchildren; Gabby and Lincoln Wood of Menasha, she is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband John and sister Lola Mae.
