Joyce L. Fritz

Joyce L. Fritz, age 86, a longtime resident of Sheboygan, went to be with her Lord in Heaven on January 25. She is joining her husband Ralph who preceded her in death in 2018.
The foundation and pillars of Joyce’s life were her faith in God, her 63-year marriage to Ralph, and her love for her children Randy and Lennelle; her grandchildren Hillary, Monica, Amelia, Nathan, and Miranda; and her great-grandchildren Lauren, Benjamin, Wyatt, Blake, and David. Joyce was a long-time member of the Evangelical Free Church, where she was much beloved and where she played the organ for decades. Most recently she was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Bastrop, Texas, where she lived since 2019 and where many people came to love her kind and gentle spirit.
Joyce was born September 28, 1935 in Sheboygan to her parents Cornelius and Jennie Buteyn. She married Ralph Fritz on February 11, 1955 at First Christian Reformed Church in Sheboygan.
Joyce’s life was spent in loving, joyful, and faithful service to her family, her friends, and her churches in Sheboygan and Bastrop. In addition to playing the organ, Joyce was a diligent student of the Bible—often annually reading through the entire Bible— and she supported missionaries across the world, including her dear friend Vonnie Steinkraus.
Friends are invited to celebrate Joyce’s life on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan Wisconsin. The visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Dr. Gary Hylander will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce’s name to Campus Life of Sheboygan County.
