Joseph A. Cesar, Jr., 89, of N. 9th Street, passed away Saturday afternoon at the Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Born January 6, 1925 in Sheboygan, Joseph was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Pavlic Cesar, Sr. He attended area schools before serving his country in the U.S. Army. On August 18, 1952, he was united in marriage to Jaqueline A. Maas in Sheboygan. Joseph was a carpenter at Polar Ware for over 50 years, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed fishing, working on handyman projects and could fix anything. He is survived by his wife, Jaqueline; four children, Victoria Schauer, David Cesar, Stephen Cesar, all of Sheboygan, and Michael (Denise) Cesar, Howards Grove; nine grandchildren, Dennis, Stacy, David, Sara, Brian, Chloe, Aaron, Kevin and Troy; six great grandchildren; his nephew, Jim (Bonnie) Cesar, Kiel, other relatives and many friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Glen; brother, Philip; sisters, Angie, Eustice, Theresa, Pauline and Jenny; and a nephew, Bob Cesar. A gathering to celebrate Joseph's life will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Inurnment will take place in the spring at Calvary Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
