John L. Lucas, 50 of Sheboygan, passed away Monday morning, May 3, 2021 at his residence.
Born May 2, 1971 in Hampton, VA, John was a son of the late Darwin Swenson and Julia Hardman. He attended Virginia area schools and Kecoughtan High School in Hampton, VA.
John was an over the road truck driver for Ottery Transportation in Wisconsin. He also worked for Spielvogel & Sons Excavation Inc. in Sheboygan for many years. John was an avid football fan who loved his Carolina Panthers. He loved cooking for all of his family and friends in his southern hospitality way but his greatest joy was driving which he has done since the age of seventeen.
He is survived by his fiancé, Dawn Best, Sheboygan; his children, Zachary Lucas, Sheboygan, and Autumn McCambridge, Sheboygan, and Adam Lucas, Hampton, VA; his siblings including his twin brother, Scott (Terri) Lucas, Hampton, VA, Constance (Mark)Hollands, Jackie Johnson, Jeanette (James) Tunas, Milton (Jamie) Swenson and Robert (Deborah) Swenson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He is further survived by his adopted "kids", Sean K. Matha and Collens (Linda Lor) Vang, and family friends, Tanya Schaeve, Joey Garic and the girls. And very special friend and brother, Brian K. Matha.
A celebration of life will take place on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan. COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing will be observed and masks are required.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
