Jerry R. Mueller, age 57 of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday morning, December 10, 2014 the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. He was born November 22, 1957, son of the late Arthur and Ruth (Geisler) Mueller. Jerry had a good life as a child. He grew up with great parents and had traveled to many parts of the world before the age of 17. He graduated from Sussex Hamilton High School class of 1977. He received a diploma in Tool and Die WCTI and in 2009 received his associate degree from LTC in Accounting. Jerry married the love of his life Gwen (Davis) Knapp on March 25, 2004 on Waikiki Beach, in Oahu, Hawaii. Jerry served our country in his late twenties to mid forties. He was honored & privileged to serve in the Air Force Reserves (the 440th), for six years. He also served 9 ½ years with the Air National Guard Refueling Wing of the 128th. In 1991, Jerry served active duty in Desert Storm. He felt lucky that he spent a few months on the East coast. Jerry's bulldozer accident forced him to end his military career. His most recent employer includes American Excelsior until May 2014. Jerry worked for Little Switzerland Ski area for 12 years. Jerry was a member of the National Ski Patrol for 25 years. After four years and recovery, Jerry went on to work for Festival Productions, Milwaukee, WI. Jerry enjoyed his outdoor position making stages on the Summer Fest grounds. Jerry enjoyed traveling with Gwen on their many trips to Jamaica, Grand Bahamas, Hawaii, Mexico, Washington D.C., Cozumel, Florida and Las Vegas. Jerry liked working on his garden. He enjoyed working and designing scenes for his model railroad. He is survived by his wife, Gwen; his stepbrother, Bob (Barbara) Mueller of Germantown, Tennessee; his sister-in-law, Sylvia Mueller, Milwaukee; his father-in-law, Donald (Wanita Cummings) Davis, Sparta, WI; his stepsons Clayton (fiancé Ashley Feyen) Knapp, and Mitchell Knapp. He is further survived by his good friends, John & Cheryl Ernst, Jim Anderson, Barry Kolb, Tim Grande, Tim Schaffer, Carmen Martin-Sebeny, Bob Guenther and many other relatives & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Arthur Mueller, and a stepbrother, Richard Mueller. Funeral services for Jerry will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Lorri Steward will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Jerry & Gwen would like to thank the staff at The Vincent Lombardi Cancer Clinic for the caring and concern during his many chemotherapy appointments, the nurses and staff at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital 2K and the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support. Jerry was hoping to have more time with stepsons, Clayton and Mitchell and always thought of them as his own sons.
