Jeffery M. Theobald, 64. of Sheboygan, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 23, 2015 at St. Nicholas Hospital. Born November 18, 1950 in Sheboygan, Jeffery was a son of the late Frank and Marcella Warrens Theobald. He attended St. Dominic Catholic School and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1969. He then went on to serve his country in the U.S. National Guard. On April 3, 1971, he was united in marriage to Lana M. Peterson at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Jeff worked for the Kohler Company for 43 years before retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club and the Howards Grove Snowmobile Club. He was a passionate race car driver, mechanic, pit crew and enthusiast, especially NASCAR. He was also an avid woodworker, enjoying many hours of building furniture. His greatest joy was the time he spent working on cars with his boys, instilling in them their love of racing. He is survived by his wife, Lana; his children, Kimberly (Jay) Riemer, Sheboygan Falls, Troy (Tabetha )Theobald, Howards Grove, and Jamie (Courtney) Theobald, Town of Sheboygan; his thirteen grandchildren, Kayla Thiel, Bryana Theobald, Austen Theobald, Kaylyn Wiroll, Justice Brubaker, Trae Theobald, Kennedy Riemer, Karsen Riemer, Taytum Theobald, Toryn Theobald, Taryn Theobald, Gage Theobald and Kole Theobald; his two great grandchildren, Kadence Garbisch and Cameron Theobald. He is further survived by his brother, Dennis (Jo Marie) Theobald, Sheboygan; his four sisters-in-law, Peg Theobald, Sheboygan, Laura (Denis Maloney) Murphy, Sheboygan Falls, Leann Sutton, Gilroy, CA, and Lynette (James) Richter, Sheboygan; his step mother-in-law, Joyce Peterson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Theobald, his sister, Shirley (Richard) Koenig, his special little angel and grandson, Tyryn Theobald, and his mother and step father-in-law, Aldine and Richard Moehring, and his father-in-law, Lawrence Peterson. He was further preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robert Sutton, his nephews, Robby Sutton and Gary Koenig. Funeral services for Jeffery will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Gregory Whelton will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in the Chapel of Eternal Light. A memorial fund has been established in his name for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. The Olson Funeral Home has been entrusted with Jeffery's arrangements.
