Janice D. Schleinz, 87, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday morning, December 12, 2025 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center.

Born July 3, 1938 in Sheboygan, Janice was a daughter of the late Carl and Frieda Menzer Faas. She attended area schools and graduated from Kohler High School in 1956. On May 15, 1965, she was united in marriage to Harold A. Schleinz at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. They were married for 40 years before Harold preceded her in death on December 29, 2005.

Throughout her life, Janice worked in the proof department at various banks in the Sheboygan area and worked as the bookkeeper for the family business, Schleinz Standard Service but her primary focus was being a homemaker, taking care of her family. Her faith was very important to her and she was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church since 1955. She enjoyed reading and crafting but her greatest joy was spending time with her four grandsons.

Janice is survived by her three daughters, Gail (David) Schmeiser, Coleen Schleinz and Jennifer (Kevin) Herbst, all of Sheboygan; her four grandsons, Jacob (Kelly), Fitchburg, Michael (Kaite) Sheboygan, Adam, Fitchburg, and Matthew Schmeiser, Sheboygan; her aunt, Wilma Spindler; her special cousin and friend, Judy Lutzke; her brother-in-law, Frank (Rita) Schleinz; her sister-in-law, Joyce Dortman; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Beside her parents and her husband, Harold, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Jerry (Debra) Faas and Carl K. Faas.
