Janice Mae Kuck, 87, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday morning, April 15, 2015 at Sunny Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center where she had been residing. Janice was born on April 26, 1927, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, to the late Edward and Mae Lefingwell Nourse. She attended area schools and graduated from Central High School in 1945. On July 14, 1948, she was united in marriage to John G. Kuck at the First Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan. They were happily married for 54 years before John preceded her in death in 2003. John was the love of her life. Janice was a homemaker who, after her children were grown, worked part time at the Jewelry Hut and Just Ears in the Sheboygan Memorial Mall. Janice was crowned Miss Sheboygan in 1944 and was second runner up that year in the Miss Wisconsin Pageant. She had a beautiful singing voice and a great love for animals. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family and friends. She is survived by her three sons, David (Susan) Kuck, Sheboygan, Daniel (Cindy) Kuck, Sheboygan, and Chris (Chris Hupfer) Kuck, Kiel; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Kuck, Sheboygan; her nephews, John (Audrey) Nourse, Washington Island, WI, and John (Diane) Kuck, Somerville SC; other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and her husband John, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley (Fred) Steinbruecker and her brother, Tom (Kelly) Nourse. A Celebration of Janice's life will take place at her son David's home at 711 Oak Tree Road, Sheboygan, on Saturday, May 16 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. with a time of sharing and reflection to be held at 3:30 p.m. The family would like to thank the many wonderful caregivers at Sunny Ridge and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Janice's arrangements.
