James C. Walker found peace at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice on June 26, 2014 at the age of 74 years old. He was born in Franklin, IN on October 27, 1939 to Elbridge and Grace Walker. Jim joined the Navy in 1961 - 1963 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. On February 26, 1966, he married Amelia (Maggie) nee Gibson, in Jamestown, TN. In 1970 they moved to Sheboygan to work at the Kohler Company. Jim worked in a few divisions before settling in the Pottery division in maintenance. He retired in 2002. Left to cherish Jim's memory is his wife Amelia (Maggie) whom he loved very much. His daughter Elizabeth (Rick) Walker-Spettel, his son Derrick (Julie), and their children Marshall and Paige Walker, his brother Elbridge Walker, Jr. and sister Geraldine McKinley, sister-in-law Marsha (Chic) Clark and Marimarie (Troy) Manship. Special friends Kris (Rick) Brickner, Tim (Carey) Schur, Terry (Brenda) Giese, Larry (Vivian) Clevenger and Jim (Patti) Hiatt. Jim's children brought him great joy. He was extremely proud of them and the people they have become. Jim had a passion for building Street Rods in his garage, very unique ones. Jim was usually working on something that had a different twist. He was always willing to help especially his children's friends. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, southern accent and sayings and kindness. He had a wonderful heart that many got the benefit of. We know that his friends and fellow car builders, Alvia, JR, Tom and Glenn are waiting for him to help chop a top to the ultimate street rod they are building. A gathering to celebrate Jim's life will take place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Interment with full Military Honors will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. The family would sincerely like to thank the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their kindness and amazing tender care that they provided to all of us, not just Jim. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Jim's arrangements.
