James F. Lange

Born October 23, 1938 in Sheboygan, Jim was a son of the late Fred and Mary Ann (Urbancic) Lange. He attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Central High School in 1956. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. On November 10, 1962, he was united in marriage to Mary C. Zohlen at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
Jim worked in maintenance at St. Dominic Church until his retirement. He previously worked at Kingsbury Brewing and Sheboygan Sausage. Jim was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church . He played for the Sheboygan Redwings Central State semi pro football league from 1958 to 1965. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan but also loved the Badgers.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary; Sheboygan Falls; his three children, Dawn (Erwin) Nennig, Sheboygan, Stacy (Danny) Phillips, Sheboygan Falls, and Jason Lange, Sheboygan; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Jannsen, Sheboygan, Nicholas Bender, Sheboygan, and Eric Nennig, Sheboygan; two great grandchildren, Hayden Gabrielse, Sheboygan, and Tamar Cooper, Sheboygan; his sister, Mary Ann (Walter) Dudzinske, New Holstein, his brother, Tom (Peg) Lange, Sheboygan; his sisters-in-law, Joanne Wilson, Sheboygan, Ruth (Gary) McLaws, Largo, FL, and Jean Klahn, Hillsboro, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law, Cletus and Marjorie Zohlen, and his brother-in-law, Charles Wilson.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 21st & Geele Avenue. The Rev. Philip Reifenberg will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Sunny Ridge for all of their loving care and support. And his faithful visitors, Gary Azukas, Augie Stempihar, Joe and Ruth Ross, John Lang, Bob Schoneman, Artie Brickner, Santa "Dennis" Leffin, and his sister-in-law, Joanne "The Pie Lady."
