May 2, 1936 — July 1, 2022

James Damrow, 86, of Oostburg, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Sheboygan Progressive Health Services with his family by his side.
Jim was born May 2, 1936 in Sheboygan to the late Frank and Helen Schrader Damrow. He attended Holy Name School and was a member of Holy Name Church. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 - 1958 and was awarded the Marksman (Rifle) and Drivers Badge. On October 26, 1963 he was united in marriage to Audrey Ann Lobes at Holy Name Church.
Jim worked at American Motors for many years before they went out of business. He always said he would be back and believe it or not, Chrysler called him back to the parts plant. He said that was the best job he ever had. He retired and loved it. He loved going up to the cabin on the Machickanee Flowage and being with all his friends and family, watching them all have a good time. He enjoyed taking drives, meeting new people and talking to his many friends. He loved telling jokes, fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, Harley Davidson motorcycles and taxidermy. He had quite an artistic imagination.
Jim is survived by his wife, Audrey; his daughter LuAnn (Adam Werdeo) Beiersdorf, Newton; his grandson, Jesse TenPas, Sheboygan; two great grandchildren, Layla and Oliver; his sisters and brothers, Dolores Seidlitz, Patti Russart, Chuck Damrow, and Paul Damrow; his sister-in-law, Betty Damrow; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Jerry (Lou), Lorraine Haese, Dorothy (Elroy) Wallander, Robert, Jackie, and Peter; his sister-in-law, Darlene Damrow; his brothers-in-law, Dan Seidlitz and Hank Russart; and his son-in-law, Joe Beiersdorf.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 21st & Geele Avenue at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Entombment will take place in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.
