James Donald Lampe, 59, of Sheboygan, died Thursday, April 30, 2015. Jim was born January 5, 1956 in Sheboygan, a son of Donald and Beverly (Wegner) Lampe. He graduated from South High School in June of 1974. Upon graduation, he began his employment at Donahue as a draftsman. He continued his studies and became a Structural CAD Technician. He worked at Earth Tech for 34 years. Due to ill health, Jim retired in June of 2007. He was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Sheboygan, and was a former member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Jim also was a member of the Sheboygan Falls Historical Society, the State Historical Society and the Sheboygan Humane Society. He had many hobbies which included woodworking, gardening, fishing and also being a military historian. He enjoyed walking his dog, Sadie. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Lampe, Sheboygan; an aunt, Lois Wegner, FL; cousins, Cathy (David) Mohr, Sheboygan, Jerry Messner, Milwaukee, Sandy (Gary) Halbach, Sheboygan and Sheila Watson, Sheboygan; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lampe' his sister, Mary Ethel; his uncle, Alfred Wegner, Jr.; and his grandparents, Alfred, Sr. and Ethel Wegner. Funeral services for Jim will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 13th & Lincoln Avenue. The Rev. Alan Kretschmar will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Jim's name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Sheboygan Lutheran High School. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Jim's arrangements.
