James Frank Bogolin, 84, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 in his home.
We were so grateful to have Jimmy in our lives much longer than we had hoped for. In 1980 he was diagnosed with atherosclerosis. He managed to cope with that condition until 1997 when he finally submitted to a 5 by-pass surgery. It saved his life.
In 2006 Jim was diagnosed with CLL, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. It was this cancer that finally took his life.
In spite of these challenges, Jim worked as a baker at Hi-Lo Bakery and Pranges Bakery for decades and 16 years at Kohler Co. as a driver of the Kohler shuttle service. He retired at age 78.
Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Madison University in l963.
Jimmy was a quiet man of few words. But when he did speak, it was always worth the listen.
Jim is survived by his wife Sheryl Sovereign Bogolin. One of the greatest joys and sense of accomplishment in their 53 years of marriage was watching their children, Alexandra (Joseandres) Bautista and their son, Anton/Tony (Kathryn) Bogolin grow into amazing, tender hearted, God-loving adults.
We love you, Jimmy, and miss you.
A memorial service will be held via zoom on Saturday May 7th, 2022 at 1 pm CDT. Zoom meeting ID:84122113235 Password:938143
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Jim's arrangements.
