Bobbie Abig, 99, took the hands of her beloved Savior on Sunday, August 24th. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on August 1, 1915. The only child of the late Charles and Pauline Raffey De Fecteau, she attended school in Milwaukee and Fond du Lac. On June 12, 1937 she was united in marriage to Carl Abig at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. The couple moved to Appleton where they owned and operated the Snack Shack Drive-In. Bobbie also worked at Bretschnieders, in Appleton, as an interior decorator. She worked the twenty-two years before her retirement in the office of Miller Electric Company. The couple moved to Sheboygan in 1974. She was a sports enthusiast and loved golfing and skiing. Bobbie was a loyal Green Bay Packer fan. She and Carl attended many games, including the famous Ice Bowl. Her fondest memories are those of the couple's visits to their summer home at Cabot's Cove in Sturgeon Bay. Bobbi truly enjoyed her seasonal trips to Door County with her friends, Gail, Kay and Linda. Bobbi was a dog lover and had 16 pet dogs during her life leaving her latest Cockapoo, Buffy Van Raffey. She looked forward to her daily visits, discussions and shopping trips with Pam. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Mary Martha Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl in November 11, 1990. She is survived by the beloved Maloch family; Helen, a long-time friend, caregiver and adoptive mom to Buffy, and dear friends. A sincere thank you to Dean and Donna who cared for Bobbi and her home for many years. A special thank you is given to Meadow View Nursing Home and the wonderful staff that brought Bobbie through a serious illness, also thank you to Sheboygan Senior Community, their talented, dedicated nurses and staff that provided Bobbie's care for the past four years. Thank you to Dr. Curtis Hancock for his medical guidance and care. A funeral service for Bobbie will take place Wednesday, August 27th, 5 p.m. at the Olson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home beginning at 4 p.m. Pastor Loney of Christ Lutheran Church will preside at the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Christ Lutheran Church or the Sheboygan Senior Community.
