Helen L. Zettel

Helen L. Zettel, 81, of Sheboygan, passed away Monday evening, April 22, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay surrounded by her family.
Born July 13, 1942, in Milwaukee, Helen was a daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth Lubach Mulder. She attended area schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1961. She then married Marvin K. Hahn. On August 5, 1983, she was united in marriage to Carl H. Zettel at St. John United Church of Christ.
Helen worked at Subco for many years before her retirement. She previously worked at Johnsonville, Heritage Nursing Home, and was a certified Emergency Medical Technician for an ambulance service. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Sheboygan. Helen enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and crafts, especially scrapbooking. She liked to keep her mind active by doing puzzles and word searches. Her greatest joy was taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Carl; her children, Shelly (Ralph Jr.) Lilla, Sheboygan Falls, Brian Hahn, Sheboygan, and Cindy Rejholec, Sheboygan; her nine grandchildren, Zach (Pam) Lilla, Nicole (Josiah Wolfe) Lilla, Heather (Brandon Tarnowski) Lilla, Quentin Hahn, Kyle Hahn, Nikita Hahn, Avery Hahn, Derek (Kim) Rejholec, and Jacyln Rejholec; two great grandchildren, Landyn Hahn and Adeline Lilla; Her sisters and brothers, Joan Landwehr, Jayne (Ronald) Sippel, Wayne (Diane) Mulder, Gail Jentsch, and Henry Mulder; her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law; Connie Mulder, Carol Tichy, Thelma Zettel and Arthur (Helen) Zettel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, Harold and Betty, she was preceded in death by her infant grandson, Jacob Rejholec; her sister, Doris (Milford) Hahn; her brother, Dale Mulder; and three brothers-in-law, Oswald Landwehr, Hugo Jentsch, and Chuck Tichy.
A memorial service for Helen will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at St. John United Church of Christ, 1248 Lincoln Avenue, Sheboygan. The Rev. Judine Duerwaechter will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of St. Nicholas and St. Vincent Hospitals for all of their loving care and support.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Helen's arrangements.
