Helen A. Kress

Helen A. Kress, 91, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 at Countryside Manor where she had been residing.
Born August 15, 1930 in Milwaukee, Helen was the daughter of the late Viola Becker. She attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School. On May 7, 1949, she was united in marriage to Earl A. Kress in Hika, WI. They were married for 66 years before Earl preceded her in death on December 11, 2015.
Helen worked for the Kohler Company for 20 years before her retirement in 1989. She previously worked as a storeroom clerk for Arlan's Department Store. She also worked as a beautician around the Sheboygan area. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. She and Earl were members of the "Once a Month Dance Club" for many years and she loved to travel and doing ceramics and crafts.
She is survived by her children, Gene Kress, Sheboygan Falls, and Jerry (Cindy) Kress, Sun City, AZ; her seven grandchildren, Cameron Kress, Sheboygan, Holly Kress, Sheboygan, Rhonda (Craig) Fellenz, Plymouth, Ryan (Christine) Schreurs, Random Lake, and Kelly, Kyle and Kevin Kress, all of Phoenix; nine great grandchildren, Graysen, Alli, Sami, Landon, Dominic, Wyatt, Hunter, Jordan and Rylann; her son-in-law, Rodney Schreurs, Cedar Grove; two brothers-in-law, Melvin and Jimmy Kress; other relatives and friends.
Besides her husband, Earl, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda, and her mother and step father, Viola and Albert Graefe.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 21st & Geele Avenue. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Entombment will take place at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum of Greenlawn Memorial Park.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
