Helen M. Danci

Helen M. Danci, age 88, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Sunny Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center where she had resided for 4 years. Helen was born January 19, 1925, in Sheboygan, to the late Andrew and Rose (Melnek) Peters. She attended Washington Elementary, graduated from Central High School in 1943 and later attended LaSierra College in California. Helen worked as a secretary for the Honold & LaPage Co. in Sheboygan for several years. After moving to Chicago she worked for A.C. Nielsen, Allstate Insurance, and Borden Milk as a secretary and in later years worked as a waitress before moving back to Sheboygan in 2003. On Feb 7, 1953 she married Frank Danci of Chicago. Frank preceded her in death on July 14, 1971. Helen was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church. She was an avid reader and linguist and was gifted in languages including Ukrainian, Russian, German and Spanish. She is survived by her brother John of Tucson, AZ, sister Rose (Don) DuBois of Los Alamos, NM, and many nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, special friend Rafael Martinez, brothers Anthony, Andrew, and Frank, and sisters Marie Bauer and Anne Peters. A private family service will be held at a later date.
