Helen M. Arens, 84, of Sheboygan, previously of Woodland Street, Cleveland, passed away April 7, 2014 at St. Nicholas Hospital. Born August 18, 1929 in Sheboygan, Helen was a daughter of the late Harry and Lillian Knaack Polster. On May 1, 1954, she was united in marriage to John A. Arens. They were married for 24 years before John preceded her in death on April 5, 1979. Helen worked in the deli department at Pick & Save for many years. She had previously worked at the American Club, Lakeland Manufacturing and Faye's Pizza. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, dancing to the polka and crocheting. She is survived by her children, Marie (Peter) Klabechek, Manitowoc, John Arens, Sheboygan, Steve Arens, Sheboygan, and Rick Arens, Cleveland; her son-in-law, Lee Wiegand, Cleveland; her seven grandchildren, John and Janie Arens, Sheboygan, Anna (fiancé Brad Dassler) Wiegand and Brian Wiegand, Cleveland, and Steven and Zachary Arens, Sheboygan and Dylan Arens, Cleveland; and her sister, Ruth (special friend Bob) Karbe, Sheboygan. She is further survived by her brother-in-law, Bernie (Charlotte) Arens, Sheboygan; and two sisters-in-law, Anita (Doug) Simons, Sheboygan, and Darlene Polster, Plymouth; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, John, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Wiegand, her sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen & Harold Lambrecht, Donna and Donnie Fesing; her brother Harry Polster and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Adolph and Dolores Arens. Private family graveside services will be held at Wildwood Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
