George R. Morgan

George R. Morgan, 90, formerly of Cleveland, WI, passed away peacefully in his sleep with the prayers of his family on Monday July 7, 2014 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Born December 6, 1923 in Chicago, IL, George was a son of the late Frank and Margaret Sherwood. He moved around the country as a child but graduated from high school in Chicago. Following school he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps and served his country during WWII. In the fall of 1952, he was united in marriage to Lucille Evans in Chicago. George was an auto body repair technician and worked for Frank Bernard Oldsmobile for many years. He was an active member of Centerville Cares, helping to protect the land and the rural way of life. He enjoyed sailing all over the Great Lakes and Canada and met so many nice people. He cared deeply about the country and current events. He loved his family, children, grandchildren and great grandson. He loved living on the lake and enjoyed looking after his house. He is survived by his wife, Lucille, Sheboygan Falls; his two sons, Kirk (Terry) Morgan of Anchorage, AK, and Ross (Mary) Morgan of Ashburn, VA; his four grandchildren, Kent (Rebecca) Morgan, Montogmery, AL, Amy (Sebastian Linde) Morgan, Chicago, IL, Luke Morgan, Anchorage, AK, and Erin Morgan, Ashburn, VA; and his great grandson, Aiden Morgan, Montgomery, AL. A gathering to celebrate George's life will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with George's arrangements.
