Garry M. Schaal, 81, of Sheboygan, passed away quietly at his home on Tuesday afternoon, September 27, 2016.
Born September 21, 1935 in Burlington, CO, Garry was a son of the late Sam and Ruth Church Schaal. He attended schools in Colorado. He served his country in the U.S. National Guard for eight years. On September 26, 1964, he was united in marriage to Patsy L. Hauschultz in Waukegan, IL.
Garry worked in the foundry at the Kohler Company for 39 years, retiring in 1992. He was a landlord for 60 years who enjoyed buying, selling and remodeling houses. He also enjoyed gardening and the outdoors but his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patsy; his children, Ricky (Vickie) Taylor, Calhan, CO, Randall Schaal, Sheboygan, Michael (Julie) Schaal, Kewaunee, and Billie Jo Kumbalek, Sheboygan; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; his sister, Lila Taylor, Stratton, CO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen Schaal, his three bothers and a sister.
Funeral services for Garry will take place at 3:30 on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Lorri Steward will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:30 until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in the Chapel of Eternal Light.
