Frederick A. McDaniel, 67, of Elkhart Lake, passed away Friday morning, September 17, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born July 22, 1954 in Port Washington, WI, Frederick was a son of the late Vincent and Elizabeth Bennett McDaniel. He attended schools in Port Washington.
Fred worked in customer service at the Osthoff Resort for the past few years. He previously was an over the road truck driver and also worked as a foreman at J.L. French. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart Lake. He loved to ride his motorcycles and drive his corvette cars. He also enjoyed gardening and the time he spent refurbishing trash to treasures. He played cribbage every day with his friend, Kevin, and loved socializing with his many friends, coworkers and strangers. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his three daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle McDaniel, Sheboygan, Melissa (Antelmo Hernando) McDaniel, Racine, and Meghann (Zac) Wick, Sheboygan; his twelve grandchildren, Amanda (Anthony) Zimmermann, Emma Van Enkevort, Zayden Scott, Willow Scott, Derek Cartee, Ivy Cartee, Antelmo Hernando, Amadeo Hernando, Bella, Cain, Cash and Cairo Wick; three great grandchildren, Finley, Allison and Jackie; his brothers,Roger and Myron; his sister, Irene (Dale) Dorney; and his girlfriend and partner, Cindy Niesen; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Vincent, Richard Theodore and Anthony, and five sisters, Georgia, Delores, Joyce, Barbara and Bonnie.
Funeral services for Fred will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church, 210 N. Lincoln Street, Elkhart Lake, WI. Pastor Peter Peitsh will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
The family would like to thank Cindy for bringing love and happiness to our Dad's life and for taking such good care of him.
