Evelyn O. Bower, 90, of Sheboygan, passed away early Friday morning, October 7, 2016 at St. Nicholas Hospital.
Born February 24, 1926 in Green Lake, WI, Evelyn was a daughter of the late August and Minnie Lueck Schiefelbein. On April 29, 1953, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Bower at Zion Lutheran Church in Glenbulah. They were married for 51 years before Robert preceded her in death on June 10, 2004.
Evelyn was a homemaker who was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her five children, Robert Bower, Jr., Karen Bower, David (Debra) Bower, Patricia (Richard) Simmons and Jennifer (Michael) Nennig; nine grandchildren, Teresa Spaeth, Michael (April) Bower, James Bower, Stacy Bower, Lisa (Isaac) Schrimpf, William Simmons, Zachary Nennig, Kyle Nennig and Nicholas Nennig; eight great grandchildren, Christian, Leticia, Thalia, Alyssa, Haiely, Jayden, Aaliyah and Mika'il.
Besides her parents and husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Gorzelitz and Vivian Schiefelbein, and her brothers, Jon Sears and Leroy Schiefelbein.
Funeral services for Evelyn will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Alan Kretschmar will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
