Evelyn A. Reglin 89, formerly of 1710 Illinois Ave., a resident of Countryside Manor, found peace on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born June 27, 1924, in the Town of Herman, Evelyn was a daughter of the late Martin and Ida Schmerling Perronne. She was baptized,confirmed and attended elementary school at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. On May 31, 1947, she was united in marriage to Paul Reglin at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sheboygan. The couple was married for 42 years before Paul preceded her in death on December 10, 1989. Evelyn was employed for 13 years as a dietary aide at St. Nicholas Hospital, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Evelyn was a member of the Lutheran Braille Association that converts bibles into braille. She enjoyed Polka music and dancing from her youth to her retirement, and loved playing cards with her Sheepshead Club. Evelyn was a fabulous cook, who talents made family dinners a memorable event. Her recipes are cherished family treasures She is survived by two grandchildren, Jennifer (Anthony) Kober, and their children, Anthony J., Katerina and Kelianna, all of Sheboygan and Joseph (Samantha) Reglin and their children Hope Anne and Jeffrey-Ronald Paul, all of Sheboygan; one sister, Delorus Voss, Sheboygan; two nieces,Barbara (Steve Ugoretz) Voss and Debra Voss, two nephews, Dale (Nancy) Voss and Mark (Karel) Voss, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; her son, Jeffrey; her four brothers, Elmer, Edward, LeRoy and Milton; one sister, Ardelle; one brother-in-law, Nelson Voss; one sister-in-law, Verona Perronne and her special friend, Otto Kapschitske. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Olson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Ave. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of St. Nicholas Home Health and Hospice and the staff at Countryside Manor for the loving care they gave Evelyn. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
