Eugenie R. Decker, 84, formerly of 2317 N. 9th St., died peacefully at Sheboygan Senior Community on Monday, October 8, 2012. Born September 9, 1928, in Neusalutsche, Germany, Eugenie was a daughter of the late Edward and Emma Duesterhoeft Radke. On May 26, 1950, she was united in marriage to Joseph Decker. The couple was married for 45 years before Joseph preceded her in death on August 18, 1995. Eugenie enjoyed the company of her many friends who frequented their bar "Lakeshore Inn" from 1977 until the death of her husband Joseph. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, was amazing at crocheting and knitting having made booties, blankets and many other things for family and friends. She loved playing cards, rummikub, loved bowling, both miniature and regular, watching the Packers and most especially spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eugenie was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She is survived by her three children, Karin (Greg) Spears, Sheboygan, Eugene (Ellen) Decker, Sheboygan, Dr. Ruth Decker, St. Louis, MO; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Jurss, Cedarburg, WI, Sarah (John) Kalk, Appleton, WI, Laura (Chris) Pribbernow, Sheboygan, Christopher (Sara) Decker, Milwaukee, WI, Jonathan Decker, Tucson, AZ; six great-grandchildren, Joseph and James Jurss, Ava and Maxwell Kalk, Jacob and Sydnee Pribbernow; two brothers, Theodore (Elfriede) Radke, Rock Springs, WI; Otto (Elfriede) Radke, Sheboygan; one sister-in-law, Walda Decker, Las Vegas, NV; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her sister Maria Jung and two brothers-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 12, 2012, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1810 N. 13th St., with the Rev. Alan Kretchmar, officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name for St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank Dr. Hancock, Dr. Coulis and the nurses and staff of Sheboygan Senior Community for the loving care they gave Eugenie.
