Esther T. Kirchstein

May 4, 1937 — August 22, 2015

Esther Thea Kirchstein, née Rasmussen, age 78, graduated peacefully into eternal life on Saturday, August 22, at the Sharon S Richardson Community Hospice Center. She was born in Milwaukee in 1937, to Leonora and Henry Rasmussen. She married LeRoy Kirchstein, and together they raised three children - Debra, Dana, and David. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great - grandmother, her occupations included being a model for JC Penney in Chicago, a keypunch operator for Ford Motor Company in Milwaukee, a volunteer assistant at First Baptist Academy in West Bend, acugauge operator at Serigraph Sales in West Bend, and a caregiver for developmentally challenged adults in the local area. Esther accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, and was a witness to many. She made this a focus of her life, even up to the week of her graduation. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her husband LeRoy, her daughter Debra, her brother Daniel, and her nephew Timothy. She is survived by her two sons, Dana and David, both of Sheboygan, her dear sister Mary (Thomas) Hansen of Pewaukee, a special former daughter- in-law Kathy (Bill) Leitner, of Horicon, and many dear grandchildren and great -grandchildren, fellow church members at Faith Baptist Church in Plymouth, numerous friends from the Evangelical Free Church in Sheboygan, and many other close friends and neighbors. Pastor David Kimmel will officiate. Following a luncheon at the church, interment will take place in Greenbush Cemetery, all are welcome. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Esther's arrangements. Esther's family would like to extend a sincere and special "Thank you" to Gary G. Meyer and Shirley Vinton. These two people made it possible for her to stay at home until just four days before her Graduation. We also want to say thank you to her grandson, Joel, whose many, many trips to the house to help her with her computer gave her the ability to stay connected to the outside world after she lost the ability to talk on phone. Dana and David would like to thank the staff at Aurora Sheboygan, including the hospital, clinic, and the Aurora At Home services for their exceptional care of our dear mother. And last, but most certainly not least, thank you to the angels at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center. We are requesting memorials be sent to this outstanding facility. PRAISE BE TO GOD!
