Ernest “Ernie” Edward Heidenreiter, a loving father and cherished grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, at the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, Wisconsin, with his boys at his side.
Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, on February 21, 1955, to his late parents, Ernest and Marion (Jahn) Heidenreiter, Ernie had a deep love for his three sons and his two grandchildren. He was a dedicated employee at Georgia-Pacific for 42 years until his retirement.
Ernie’s greatest joy was his family. He was a proud father to his sons, Eric (Paige), Ryan (Gigi), and Torry (Laura) and a loving grandfather to Ophelia and Baker, cherishing every moment spent with them. Ernie is also survived by his sister, Nancy (Steve) Hoell and their children.
Ernie and his father obtained Green Bay Packer season tickets when Ernie was a young boy, and he never missed a home until his health started to fail. His children’s greatest memories were tailgating and cheering on the Pack with him at Lambeau Field, and fishing with him on Lake Winnebago on his boat “The Night Owl”. His sons are incredible honored and grateful to carry on the tradition of spending Sunday’s at Lambeau Field in their dad and grandpa’s seats.
His legacy of hard work, humor, and unconditional love will forever be remembered by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his boys.
A private memorial will be held with his family that will certainly involve perch dinners and old fashioneds.
