Elizabeth J. Deckert, 83, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday morning, May 5, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born June 10, 1937 in Brillion, WI, Elizabeth was a daughter of the late George and Elsie Dassow Krizenesky. On October 12, 1957, she was united in marriage to Roderick H. Deckert in Sheboygan.
Elizabeth worked at St. Nicholas, Herziger's Restaurant, The Sheboygan Press and The Salvation Army Thrift Store. Elizabeth was a devoted catholic. “Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.” [1 Peter 4:8]. Elizabeth loved spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed gardening and watching wrestling. Elizabeth lived a fulfilling life as a mother, sister, wife, grandma and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Rod; her son, Greg, Sheboygan; her grandchildren, Timothy (Jessica), Joseph, and Stuart; 9 great grandchildren, Haylee, Jackson, Maxwell, Stella, Josephine, Emma Mae, Paisleigh, Mackenzie and Eloise; her brothers, Allan (Donna), John (Marilyn); her sister, Rosemary; brother-in-law, Cliff (Sherry); nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Hank Dassow, her brother, Robert (Cynthia) Krizenesky, her brother-in-law, Dennis (Judy) Deckert and her mother and father-in-law, Henry and Emma Deckert.
According to her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Elizabeth's arrangements.
