Eleanora K. Hartmann, 86, of Sheboygan, passed away early Monday morning, February 22, 2016, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Born April 13, 1929 in Donauworth, Germany, Eleanora was the only child of Josef and Katharina Eckert. She attended schools in Germany. She came to the United States on July 24, 1947. In October of 1959, she was united in marriage to Henry Hartmann, Jr. in Milwaukee. They were married for 31 years before Henry preceded her in death in January of 1990.
Elly worked for the Kohler Company for many years in the shipping department, retiring in 1994. She previously worked at Lakeland Manufacturing and Thomas Industries. She enjoyed baking and crocheting but her greatest love was animals, especially feeding the birds in her yard.
She is survived by her son, Mark & Debbie Hartmann of Sheboygan Falls; other relatives and many special friends including Emily & Daryl Wilke, Black River, Pat & Emily Fale, Sheboygan, Aaron & Lucy Fale, Sheboygan, and the Lyle Wusterbarth family, Kiel.
Funeral services for Elly will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Gregory Whelton will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
