Edward J. Meise, 86, of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday evening, November 8, 2015, at Meadow View Manor Nursing Home. Born November 6, 1929 in Sheboygan, Edward was a son of the late Ernst and Emma Erni Meise. He attended area schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1948. On May 7, 1955, she was united in marriage to Margaret J. Pierce in Sheboygan. The couple just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. From 1951 to 1953, Edward served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Ed worked at the Kohler Company in the polishing division for many years before his retirement. He enjoyed photography, computers, and camping. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his children, Kenneth (Darlene) Meise, Karen McDaniel, Joanne (Steve) Tasche, and Randall (special friend Terry Schlotthauer) Meise, all of Sheboygan; his daughter-in-law, Carol Stewart, Sheboygan; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ernst (Judith) Meise, Sheboygan, and William (Betty) Meise, Fort Lauderdale, FL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roger, and his sister, Marion (Myron) Daily. Funeral services for Edward will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Pastor Jason Niesing, Edward's grandson, will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Meadow View Manor for all of their loving care and support.
