Dorothy L. Wislinsky, 86, went to her heavenly home on Monday evening, May 25, 2015 at St. Nicholas Hospital. Born August 8, 1928 in Sheboygan, Dorothy was a twin daughter of the late Floyd and Jessie Kwekkeboom Wakefield. She attended area schools and graduated from Central High School in 1946. She continued her education in accounting at LTI. On August 15, 1947, she was united in marriage to Donald L. Wislinsky in Manitowoc. They were married for 37 years before he preceded her in death on October 14, 1984. Dorothy was an account manager at the D.J. Neleson Furniture Store and continued at Bitter Neumann. She retired from Mayline. She previously worked at Manufacturers Shoe Outlet. She was an active member of the Community Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School. She also volunteered as a camp councilor in Black River Falls Church Camp. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling and genealogy. She is survived by her children, Dennis (Darcy) Wislinsky, Madison, MN, Kevin Wislinsky, Elkhart Lake, and Peggy Wislinsky, Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Deena (James) Meyers, Sheboygan, Jason Thompson and Starla Winkler, both of Ohio, Crystal Marshall, Sheboygan, and Miranda Wislinsky, Sheboygan; four great grandchildren, Natalie Meyers, Abdiel Gonzalez, Ajaini Marshall and Isias Villarreal; her twin sister, Dorris Williams, Sheboygan; nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Donald, she was preceded in death by her brother Donald Wakefield, brother-in-law, Lester Williams, and a nephew, Bruce Williams. Funeral services for Dorothy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Private family interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Nicholas Hospital and Hospice for taking such good care of Mom. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Dorothy's arrangements.
