Donald W. Zorn, 69, of Sheboygan, passed away Thursday morning, June 17, 2021 at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center surrounded by his family.
Born February 3, 1952 in Sheboygan, Donald was a son of the late William and Mildred Goetsch Zorn. He attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1970. He continued his education at Lakeshore Technical College. On June 5, 1976, he was united in marriage to Diane M. Morton in Sheboygan. They were married for 34 years before Diane preceded him in death on November 30, 2010.
Don was a service manager for Ernie von Schledorn in Port Washington for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Don loved to spend time outside working on his garden and nurturing his many plants. He had an affinity for detailing his cars and could make a phenomenal Sunday morning breakfast omelet. Don also enjoyed working on his many fish tanks, breeding his fish, and collecting beach glass at the lake.
He is survived by his children, Andrea (David) Gotiear, Sheboygan Falls, and Brandon (Casey Whitaker) Zorn, Sheboygan; his grandchildren, Charlie, Lucas, and Rene Gotiear and Nolan and Everly Zorn; his sisters, Carol (Richard) Reineking and Rita (Darrel) Maritz; his brother-in-law, Patrick Morton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and his special friend, Wendy Honold.
Besides his parents and wife, Diane, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Charlotte Morton and his mother-in-law, Raphaella Morton.
Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Sheboygan Progressive Care Center for all of their loving care and support.
